Design elements of the RAM 1500 BackCountry Edition
The RAM 1500 BackCountry Edition is the affordable off-road-oriented option in the RAM 1500 lineup and can be configured on the Big Horn and Lone Star trims. Some of the standout features of the RAM 1500 BackCountry are 18-inch black wheels, black badging, black two-tone exterior paint, headlamp bezels, black exhaust tips, black running boards, and black mirrors. Not to forget the body-colored grille surround and a tonneau cover that is also included in this variant.
RAM 1500 BackCountry Edition’s Functional Features
Talking about functional features, the RAM 1500 BackCountry will come equipped with the 4×4 Off-Road Group package (Skid Plates for the front suspension, tow hooks, power steering & fuel tank, transfer case, off-road calibrated shocks, rear electronic locking axle, hill descent control, and all-terrain tires) and the Bed Group package (upper adjustable tie-downs, bed extender – only available with RamBox, deployable bed step, bed lighting, and spray-in bed liner).
The 2022 RAM 1500 BackCountry is available in 4×4 Quad and 4×4 Crew Cab configurations with both the 5.7-liter V-8 and the 5.7-liter V-8 with eTorque mild-hybrid assist. The BackCountry edition’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starts at $40,085, plus $1,695 destination charges. As far as the availability goes, the RAM 1500 BackCountry is expected to hit showrooms at the end of 2021 or early 2022.
