Keeping in line with Jeep’s vision of “Zero Emission Freedom”, the Grand Cherokee 4xe is a significant step by the brand. This in in-turn, opens opportunities for them to foray into the EV segment in a concrete manner.
The 4xe technology integrates PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid) into the vehicle. This helps in making it more fuel-efficient while also contributing to the reduction of emissions. Following are some of the statistics of the 2022 Grand Cherokee 4xe:

The 4xe system combines two electric motors, a 400-volt battery pack, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission.
The gasoline engine is a part of Stellantis’s Global Medium Engine family. This high-tech, direct-injection engine makes use of a twin-scroll, low-inertia turbocharger that is mounted directly to the cylinder head. The engine’s efficiency is enhanced with the use of electric power steering and an electrically driven air-conditioning compressor, removing those loads from the engine.
