Coming to its performance, RAM offers two engines – a 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 engine that produces 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, and a 6.7-liter CUMMINS® Turbo Diesel inline-six-cylinder engine that produces 370 horsepower and 850 pound-feet of torque. The 6.4-liter engine comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission while the 6.7-liter diesel engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The base trim comes with a rear-wheel-drive drivetrain with an option for a four-wheel-drive drivetrain as well. The RAM 2500 has an impressive towing capacity ranging from 17,540 pounds with the gasoline engine to 20,000 pounds with the diesel powertrain.
RAM offers the following body configurations for the RAM 2500 – Regular Cab with an 8-foot box, Crew Cab with a 6.4-foot box, and Crew Cab with an 8-foot box. Other than the base Tradesman and Big Horn trims, all the other trims are offered only in the Crew Cab configuration. Coming to its features, the RAM 2500 is equipped with Bluetooth Connectivity, Cruise Control, Vinyl upholstery, a five-inch touchscreen display, and a four-speaker sound system as standard features. Opt for the higher trims and you can get leather upholstered seats, heated and ventilated front seats, a navigation system, a 12-inch touchscreen display, and a 10-speak Alpine sound system, to name a few.
