2021 Dodge Charger Engine Specs

Dodge is known to give power to the consumer by offering a wide array of options for them to decide upon. These are the engine options offered for the 2021 Charger – 3.6-liter PENTASTAR® V-6 engine, a 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 engine, a 6.4-liter 392 HEMI® V-8 engine, and a 6.2-liter HEMI® Supercharged SRT Hellcat V-8 engine. The base SXT trim is powered by the 3.6-liter V-6 with a power output of 292 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The same engine is tweaked to produce more power (300 horsepower and 264 pound-feet of torque) in the SXT AWD and the GT trims. The R/T trim comes with the 5.7-liter HEMI® V-8 that pushes out 370 horsepower and 395 pound-feet of torque.

The megalith 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI® V-8 engine powers the top-end SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye trims with 717 horses and 650 pound-feet of torque for the former, and 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque for the latter.

2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody

The top-end SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody trim gets the most power output of 797 horsepower and 707 pound-feet of torque. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and the power is sent to the rear wheels. This kind of power cannot go without recognition, making the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody the most powerful and fastest mass-produced sedan in the world. In the braking department, the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye is fit with 20×11-inch lightweight carbon-black wheels and SRT®-branded Brembo brakes.

It is also equipped with an SRT® air-induction hood that includes dual-heat extractors to keep the engine cool. All this power helps the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody accelerate to 60 MPH from a standstill in just 3.5 seconds. Not to forget a blistering top speed of 203 MPH.
